The Pigeons are Dying - Your Happy (?) Thanksgiving

That time of year again when an important question must be asked.

What is Gobblor planning?

Investigative reporter, Bughie J. sent us this update:

It's 2011: the war against the Gobblors does not go well. The pigeons, sensing they may become humanity's next thanksgiving bird of choice should the turkeys win, form a tentative alliance with humanity to defeat the Gobblors! Gobblor: The Pigeon War! This Thanksgiving!

Terrifying, isn't it?

So, uhhh, yeah....

Happy Thanksgiving, all...?

Happy Birthday, Momma HOchie!

Today is Momma HOchie's birthday and she turns 06 today.  The day after Momma HOchie's birthday, is not her birthday.

If I were to go off to work today as I intend, she might not be too pleased with me.  But if Dad has his way, buying that new 55 inch 1080p LED television may just soften the blow.

She also wants flowers and wine.  One of those things I did not get.

I fear for my life, but I'm hoping the alcohol might make her forget the misstep.

Happy Birthday, Momma from all your chirrens - your miserable first three, all the miserable sons and daughter we acquired for you along the way, and your miserable five plus one grandchildren.

Thank you for everything you have given us and continue to give.

Saturday Disappointment, Part II: Foodie Misadventures and Not on Target

Our trip to the city was not all sheer disappointment after the Mario 3D Land event last Saturday.  NYC and its fantastic self managed to produce a random Holiday Fair somewhere on 9th Avenue or so near 48th St.

It was such a random thing but it was nice to see, as part of my checklist that day was to start getting into the Christmas spirit by going out there and getting some wrapping paper to begin the ever long task of present wrapping and obtaining ornaments for our very pink Christmas tree we want to style this year.

Saturday Disappointment, Part I: Mario 3D Land in Times Square

What can you say about people?

They're the scum of the earth!

Alright, so not everyone can be classed as scum but this past Saturday morning proved to be quite trying when The HOchieS' ventured to Times Square to attend Nintendo's Super Mario 3D Land Event.

I shaved all but my Nintendo of America? How...crude.

For Veterans' and Armistice Day...

Happy Spinal Tap Day.

There's still time to turn it up to 11.

The End of Days, Part VI: The Takoyaki Stand, The Best Fries, and a Failed Toy Run. Again.

As one final adieu "until next time, of course!" with Beetchie in the Summer, we went to our old haunts in St. Marks.

H1 and Beetchie are obsessed with takoyaki, as I'm certain I've mentioned before.  What's not to obsess over though? Takoyaki's pretty fabulous what with its gooey, chewy, salty masterful texture and flavour.  We have yet to find another stand that makes it fresh outside of Tokyo but are thankful enough to Beetchie to have discovered this one.

Never you mind the hipsters on the street.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Dear Annnjjjj.

Eat lots of caaaakkkeee.

That was the best short version of the song ever!

We had no idea that Beetchie was so crafty.  We did know she was shady and "crafty" in that sense but actual 'stitch and felt crafty'? ::GASP!::

Now all I can think about is all the stuff she can make me...bwahahahaha.

I got a wonderful red package from Beetchie today and I knew that it would be good because things that come in a red packet tend to be awesome, right B.?

It is truly bazoobs.

Saying Goo'day to the Pumpkins

Halloween's over! Yes, sad but scarily true.  Another year gone by and another Halloween enjoyed by the HOchieS.  It was almost ruined by a freak snow storm (and was ruined for some...) but we had some ghoulish fun with the kids.

I'll stop with the lame, cheap tricks in my writing.  I'll make a peace treaty with you all and stop.  Right now.

In closing, thanks to Target for having fabulous shiny pumpkins on their shelves for me to snap photos of.

It's now back to our Autumn Scarecrow friend with black crow.

For All Souls' Day

Before I forget, I took a little picture of a Halloween fright planted on H1's window as part of her Halloween decorations this year.

In case you missed it, the poor black cat was not hanging from a noose this Halloween (thank goodness!) but there was another cat sighting.

The scary scene?

A black cat was cleverly waiting by the bird feeder...

See? Smart.
...scaring the sheet out of some birds.

Poor thing.

It Finally Happened

I hope you all ran out there and got your share because if you didn't eat, you'd be lame.

What day is today?

It feels like my birthday! What a day for a birthday...stop! Wrong day, wrong day.

It's not my birthday or Christmas but it may as well be.

The day is finally here after months of anticipation.

I got a rather huge box in the mail today all wrapped in fancy black Amazon tape.  It looks classy and for 99 cent release day delivery, it best look awesome!

If Amazon sold this as wrapping paper...I would love H1 if she wrapped all my presents in it.
It's so beautiful that even orange friends find it alluring.

I smell Nathan Drake
And I just want to give him hugs.
Oh Uncharted 3, I can't wait to play you very soon.

P.S. H1, just because I feel as though it is a present, does not mean it can be wrapped up and stuck under the tree for me to unwrap 2 months from now.  Don't be cruel!

Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit. Hare, Hare, Hare.

It's the start to a good month.  I deem it so and so it shall be!

Good luck to everyone and we look forward to seeing some of our friends at the end of the month.
