September is here.
August just had to hold on to ugliest month of the year title because you know, after the hellish hot July, I almost decided to award July the worst month of all months award.
But August just goes ahead and shows that it is an asshat of a month. First there was an earthquake and then a freaking Hurricane affecting NY.
We are thankful that all we had to contend with was a flooded basement and a restless night anticipating tornadoes, but to all those still without power, or lost their houses - we truly feel for you.
Here's hoping for a better month.

It's October!
Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit. Hare, Hare, Hare.
This here signals the end of H1's Birthday Month and the beginning of Or 2's.
September was a good month and we ended it by baking and decorating sugar cookies this past weekend!

It was our first attempt as H1 decided she needed to hone her decorating skills, or rather get some skills then hone them.

Boobey helped but geez is that kid strong! 'Slowly and carefully add the flour to the mixture,' we told him. What does he do? He takes two hands and tosses it all in the bowl at once. Luckily that did not spoil our recipe but it was rather funny.

Our cookies actually came out quite good and I'm not a fan of sugar cookies, really. They could have baked a little bit longer but we'll blame that on her tilted oven, the tilt not having anything to do with the baking part.

Notice how awesome snow covered pine tree, emo lumberjack, fish and flounder are?

I would however, thank you to not mind Fish's green buisness!
And of course, look at bad ass Flounder...

Scary! but Awesome! H1, I enjoy his crazy eye.
Things missed:
Random pictures taken in September at the Train Station

Random NYC shots (sad times that's no longer Lehman Bros.):

and Dexter in Midtown:

Currently listening to: "Gallop" by Pe'zmoku, the Bleach 16th ED Single.

Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit. Hare, Hare, Hare.
I keep trying.
Here's to September - full of good laughs and good fortune we hope, with many good things to look forward to with H1's Birthday Month being at the top of the list.

It's September!
I love the first day of September.
It reminds me that Fall is just around the corner and Fall is my quite possibly my favourite season.
Those hot summer days are coming to an end, the kids go back to school and I get to laugh at their disheartened faces when they're all sitting on the school buses and college is back in session, meaning I don't have to walk the NYC streets with a bunch of day-offers and hangin'-outers.
The HOchieS birthdays are coming up, Pumpkin pies, Halloween, Thanksgiving and then all of this leading into the Christmas Season.
These are the things to like about Fall.
You know what I don't like though? I don't like that this September found me stumbling out of bed at 6 AM to get to work for 8.30 AM.
That is not how I like to begin this month, especially on a long weekend! Ugh.
Anyway, it's cold tonight. And I like that.
There's lots already planned for our first week in this month and I can't wait. Two weeks from today, more good times and then two weeks from that comes October.
I'm getting kind of happy.
And reallly sleepy.
Goo'day.
Conversation of the day at the office:
"Oooo! The coffee's free? Saaweeeet. I'll take two cups." - Beetchie
And later on...
"Oooo! The hot chocolate's free too?! Ooo, I'll have some of that." - Beetchie
And later still...
"Beetchie, you need to go the bathroom? That's free too you know." - Me
"Shut up, you asshole!" - Beetchie
