I'm just like the rest of you lot. I too have nightmares by watching the Burger King King.
This evening though, when I heard a familiar tune start up, I had to watch the TV.
Before I continue with this story and I may have mentioned it before, H1 often tries to blackmail with embarrassing stories by telling people that my first CD was Sir Mix-A-Lot's album.
That's right, the one with "Baby Got Back".
I was headed in a direction of Frass many years ago but then Stone Temple Pilots converted me, and for that I am thankful.
Even so, I am not ashamed by my ownage of that CD.
That was some goo'd times in my fuzzy memories and let us leave it at that.
Getting back to the story at hand, I heard a familiar sound and that was "Baby Got Back".
Wondering if I had returned to the early months of 1992 (man was I impressionable! Only 3 months later and I was converted to STP and alternative rock! Nice!), I turned to the TV and was greeted by this hot damned mess of a commercial (be warned, this is the extended version and I've not listened yet because I can't find the volume control on Papa HOchie's computer):
I laughed but knew that this was way wrong.
They showed this mess after 9 PM and that was smart on their part because having Spongebob defiled like this makes me a bit ill. A sadistic laughing kind of ill but ill all the same.
It's been 10 years since that sponge has been on and I would like to keep the memories of his antics as yellow clean as he continues to be even after 10 years of use.
One can only imagine what children might think if they saw this.
It's awesomely wrong.
When are we going to Burger King, H1?
[Update @ 10:53 PM]: The Burger King King scares the square crap out of X.

The Things That Just Aren't Right
Why does 50 Cent have his own game?

And why did it get a decent review on Gamespot?!
So sometimes there are things that just aren't right but I'm thinking that a game that can include:
There doesn't seem to be an end to the strange and surprising things that you can encounter in Noby Noby Boy, and each map is dynamic, with plenty of movement and activity by its inhabitants, and new people and things constantly raining down from the sky. You can interact with those people by just wandering around and giving them rides, trying to wrap yourself around them, or, most enjoyably, by eating them, which can produce some astonishing new creations. If you eat a strawberry and a cheerleader and then unceremoniously expel them from your rear, you may get a cheerleader with a smiling strawberry for a head. That may sound crude, but this is one example of how Noby Noby Boy's extremely simple graphics are an asset. The colorful and simplistic visual style makes the whole process of eating and then sending things flying out of your backside cute, funny, and completely inoffensive.

...will be just fine.
I really hope that Noby Noby Boy isn't nausea inducing like that Katamari Damacy that I don't really like to talk about but it seems...like I could have fun with this, as would Beetchie.

I mean, look at those edible goats!

Sons Is Here!
And she already managed to sully my ears by dirtying up "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)" by The Offspring.
All I'll need now is for MC to create his character Sexual Chocolate again with the new and improved 'fro that has a 'fro comb in it and I'll have the entire Rock Band 2 cringe experience!

Here's an article I found on Gamespot that is wrong on all levels.
A black sheep? Speaking street?
Oh, Nintendo.
Oh, Animal Crossing; it's no wonder this game cracks me up some.

Every now and then, game companies' PR and marketing backfires. Sony's 2007 God of War II promotional party featuring a decapitated goat made Fortune's list of the 101 Dumbest Business Moments of the year. Then there was the Wii port of Okami, for which Capcom swiped cover art from gaming site IGN--and forgot to remove the watermark.

This week sees another such misstep, this committed by Nintendo in an effort to promote the interoperability of the recently released Animal Crossing: City Folk with 2005's Animal Crossing: Wild World for the DS. To allow members of the media the chance to check out the function, Nintendo sent out copies of Wild World with a saved city already on it.
But as spotted by MTV Multiplayer and confirmed by GameSpot, not everyone in the city was very neighborly. Specifically, the character of Baarbara the sheep greets players by using a racial epithet (pictured) in a modified form commonly used as a greeting in hip-hop culture. The line also includes a line of dialogue from the film Full Metal Jacket that Asian-Americans might find offensive. Wild World lets players customize greetings, and it appears that the objectionable wording was inserted using that function.
Although embarrassing, the Animal Crossing N-word flap doesn't rank alongside the game industry's biggest PR fiascos. Those include Microsoft's steady drumbeat of denials of widespread Xbox 360 failures in the months leading up to its $1 billion admission that the "Red Red Ring of Death" was all too common. The Big Kahuna of publicity trainwrecks came in 2005, when Take-Two Interactive insisted that the "Hot Coffee" sex minigames in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas were the work of PC hackers...just days before the minigames were found hidden in the unalterable PlayStation 2 version of the game.
[UPDATE] True to its word, a contrite Nintendo issued a statement to GameSpot apologizing for any offense and promising to recall the offending copies of the game from media outlets.
"Previously played copies of the 2005 DS game Animal Crossing: Wild World were sent to 14 members of the media to demonstrate the ability of players to transfer items to the new Animal Crossing: City Folk for Wii," said the publisher. "We regret that an offensive phrase was included without our knowledge via a wireless function that allows user-generated catchphrases to spread virally from one game to the next. This version is limited to 14 copies created for media review purposes only and is not available at retailers. We sincerely apologize for the incident and are working with media who received the game cards to return them to Nintendo immediately."

Monday's Mini-Concert
There was something about a veggie mite sandwich or something and some Men At Work. Ironically, they were playing outside the Fox News Building and we all know the fools up at faux do nothing but shart all day long.
And to think, I was complaining that were no freebies on the street lately.
Conversation of the day:
H1: I'm sure Or 2 doesn't know this song.
Or 2: What song is this?
H1: "Animal" by Def Leppard
Or 2: Why would I WANT to know that song? They have the worst drummer. That guy sucks.
H1: Bwahahahahahahaha.
Luiiiisss: That's so wrong.
Currently listening to: The sound of H1 and Chrissy Lee mulling over the game Lexicon, and the sound of crunching Ben & Jerry's "Everything But The...". That's one ice-cream that actually involves crunching.

The Fish In Dragon Land
When we were in Chinatown last, we visited the Dragon Land bakery we often frequent when we're there and in it there's this tank - it's a rather not so giant tank with some rather giant fish in it. It's sort of cruel but I'm always fascinated by how many and what type of fish they're rockin'.
I remember one year they had tons of fish and within months, they were down to about 3.
Well, they've been down to 3 for the past 2 years or so, I'd say - a pike looking thing, another one that isn't as interesting and this huge thing that mills around. I forget what sort of fish he is.
The other thing I loved about this store, other than the steamed plain vanilla cakes, coconut bubble tea and the custard buns with the crumblies that H1 despises, were the tables.
Cruel once more, the owners of the store decided to create tables out of turtle tanks. So you could eat your pork filled snack while looking down at a turtle. I'd be sad if some asshole tried to dangle pork over my head knowing fully well I would never be able to taste the goodness.
I suppose it was cruel to have huge turtles in a small tank that was completely sealed as well because they also disappeared a few months after their debut and I've never seen them since.
I meant to do this to show Chloe but next time I'll remember to take a picture of my favourite tank and a table that now houses some mossy rocks and stagnant water. The kind of water mosquitos could breed in.
Currently listening to: "Fancy Mel" by Junya Nakano, from the Dew Prism Soundtrack and "Turn The Tables" by Shiro Sagisu, from the Bleach: Memories of Nobody Soundtrack. That song is epic! After hearing it used in episode 163 during the Renji/Ishida exchange, I've been obsessed with it and crying that they've not yet released or announced the third series soundtrack. I've been fiending for that thing for close to a year now!
