It Was Almost a Dirty Confession

This morning at NBC's Today Show, the unthinkable occurred - I happened upon the start of a song I did not recognize but figured it had to be Maroon 5 - and it sounded decent.

It sounded not bad.

If you could not tell, I am doing everything in my power to not say the "g" word because Maroon 5 never deserves to be called "gouhh...".

See? I can't even say it.

Perhaps the lapse in mental capabilities on my part was due to the fact that the sound itself was decent for twice (R.E.M. was the only band that actually had good equipment and well, it's R.E.F.R.I.C.K.I.N.G.M.) and also due in part to that one girl who was dancing her way out of the crowd with a ton of flava'.  She was having fun.  What can I say?

I had not forgotten that Adam Levine is a damned douche and that I dislike him immensely.  I am being redundant because I have to be to get this point in your head...that I almost went against every moral fiber in my brain to admit that a Maroon 5 song was guhh..guuh...  ...  more than decent.

However, I have good news to share because I just watched the performance online and Adam Levine still proves to be the jerk he is and I've decided potentially dirty confessions are out of my head.

I corrected myself for you lot.

In case you might still be reeling from something I may have implied, here, let me instead distract you by an awesome kid playing Taiko no Tatsujin.

That kid is a freaking Taiko DRUM MASTER.

Beetchie, you and I need to go back to the arcades of Japan.

Or alternately, we need lots of money for a purchase:

Confession of The Day

We may all have that one movie we must sit and watch every time it comes on the tele.

Mine is "From Dusk 'Til Dawn".

I shan't be judged.

A Confession

I enjoy the music of Hall & Oates and have since the 80's.

That is all.

Confession(s) of the Week(s): 01/27/2010 - 02/09/2010

H1: I have to say, rice touching my meat when my food gets all mixed up like that is one of my biggest nightmares.

Or 2: Sometimes and for no reason at all when I'm all alone or really focused on whatever it is I have to do, I'll start humming the Double Dragon Theme Song from the early 1990s video game.  It's not a conscious effort and it scares me everytime.

Not For The Faint of Heart

I've a shocking confession to make.

I like popcorn flavoured jelly belly jelly beans.

On another note, this is the year we are all going to perish.

The cold air and horrendous disaster driven weather has stormed its way across the U.S.
California is expected to have some eerie devastating weather anomoly, while Floridian farmers are doing their best to protect their Citrus crops from the freezing temperatures.

This translates into a vicious domino effect cycle leading to my demise.

1. The oranges could die.
2. There'd be no orange juice production.
3. I can't drink orange juice after eating bacon.
4. If I can't drink orange juice to help wash the bacon down, then I can't eat bacon.
5. If I can't eat bacon, then I might as well just lay down and die.

2008 is already turning out to be the lamest year yet.

What next? Mega-Tsunami?
H1, shut your goat assy mouth.

Memorable Conversation of the Evening:

H1: OH NO YOU DON'T. YOU DO NOT LIKE THAT NASTY JB.
Or 2: What? hahahahahahahahahahaha. I do. I ate quite a few today and yesterday
H1's away message: People should keep their dirty secrets to themselves
Or 2: You know. You should support me during this difficult time. Ass.
H1: Support you? During what difficult time? The Popcorn JB incident? The OJ incident?
Or 2: yeah, the jellybeans...instead of telling me to keep dirty secrets to myself. I had the Dr. Pepper (flavoured jelly bean) yesterday. I was stunned.
H1: y?
Or 2: I wasn't expecting it. Then i wanted to dilute it in some water. I was thirsty.
H1: You know I don't understand you, having all these food misadventures in secret at your desk. You did not mention this once all the while. Some BFF you are.
Or 2: Well I only made the discovery today. I tasted the popcorn one once more to be certain
H1: suppose I wanted some JBs, ass. I could see you know nibbling shit at your desk behind all your paper. Secret JB eater. I thought we shared everything, even the nastiness. Oh grief.

Currently listening to: "Wet and Rusting" by Menomena.

An Observation, Confessions and A Retraction

It's a mostly stupid observation really but a few years ago, I realised that video games have warped our little minds some.
For most genres that I've played, if there's a major muck up then your character 'dies' until you re-load your data.
After years of playing games such as these, the declarations of "I'm going to die!" or "I died!" have been so ingrained in my brain that their use have filtered into other genres as well.
For instance, I'm playing "Tetris" - is it really that I die when the blocks get stacked too high? No, really it's that I've lost or failed but "died"? A little extreme, if I do say so.
This is not something that I've noticed of myself, either. I think we've a world of gamers out there who proclaim the same. Beetchie can attest to this when the other night, she was running out of time to roll up a katamari to the allotted size and proclaimed, "I'm going to die!!!!!". The real result was that the planet Mars did not get built and the King of Cosmos didn't kill her, literally. He may have killed her spirit by calling her a "L O S E R" but otherwise, her character was breathing.

In an unrelated matter, this week a friend (or so she says!) from primary school contacted me. Now, I was about 7 or so when I knew her. And to be honest, I don't remember her that well, being that my brain is shot from work and age. Hell, I can't even remember what I ate last week Monday (notice I've a 2 week memory span)!

I do recall her somewhat though and worse, H1 says we used to be best friends. I'm not even sure it's the same person that I'm thinking of but it just hit me, that if it is, yeah, we were quite close. Sorry for being a flake childhood friend!!!! But I remember now!

Anyway, apparently she remembered me "BECAUSE you liked rock and you were the kid who wore a denim jacket with rock patches on it".

But you people see that, right?

First, I used to like rock since I was really young - the Iron Maiden and such. Which is great but that leaves me questioning what the ass happened when I went through my 3 month Sir-Mix-A-Lot phase. I was lost for a while, apparently but meh, I'm not even sure that even happened either because everyone is welcome to go through my CD collection to show that I don't have that in it. Thank you, very much, H1.

Second, OMG, I used to wear denim?! With patches on it?!

It's all a blatant lie!

Liiiiieeeeesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

That's a gross fabrication if I ever did see it.

Now let me go burn the picture that says otherwise.
