Selling My Soul to that Devil Mouse

I have not done it yet but I'm really considering it.

I'm considering buying...wait for it.

A Disney product.

I've made it no secret that I hate me some Disney Corporation.  As a corporation, they are evil.  EVIL! They're so evil that they have wiped my brain clean as to all the examples I had proving their Evilry.  "Evilry"? Can I coin that? No? "Devilry" would work better? Meh, whatever.

In any case, depending on the reviews and a serious price cut, I have to admit that Epic Mickey has been capturing my attention as of late - Maybe it's the fact that this Mickey is a not an annoying do-gooder who owns a dog but rather a mischievous little biatch which shows up in his design or maybe it's the fact that the Ink Monster chokes his ass out?

While the following movie is just that, a movie and not a movie of the game play (hence waiting for reviews, although I have seen some footage of game play and it looks cool), I might have to colour myself impressed.  Bwahahaha, "colour" myself! You'll get it once you watch...

Disney Continues to be Evil

I just saw a trailer for the Princess movie with the 'black' Princess. She used to be black but the evils at Disney drew Belle and gave her a tan/coloured her brown.

WTF.

Currently listening to: "Stockings To Suit" by The Rascals. I love this song. I love this band and their melodious cacophony. Is that wrong?

Just As We Always Knew

"The Heroine of the movie, who is the first African American Disney Princess, caused some controversy when she was given the perceived stereotypically lower-class black name "Maddy" and was made a chambermaid , an occupation some felt not in keeping with the image of a Disney Princess (despite the household drudgery that earlier princesses Cinderella and Snow White had to perform). These character choices were interpreted by some as racist, and Disney acted swiftly in response."

Another Reason Why Disney's Evil

For some reason, the Disney Channels keep trying to push Gingers. There are Gingers in many of their programs. They even let this stupid little asshole kid named Daniel Cook get his own mini show where he goes around trying to 'learn' things from people but really he just terrorizes them.

That's right. I'm not above calling children assholes when they deserve to be called a such.

Currently watching: Charlie and Lola, a show that has no Gingers and that is why it's awesome.

The Happiest Places on Earth

Contrary to popular belief the Happiest Place on Earth is indeed Ebay and not Disney World.

At least, that was the case about 4 years ago. I've revised my list!

The happiest places are now (in addition to Ebay which has fallen on some hard times and down on my list) Amazon.com, YouTube, Wikipedia and Blogspot.

I Can't Believe I Need Sid TWO Nights In a Row

I guess I can believe it though because the world abounds in bad music.

Tonight's rant:

I had my reservations about the cover songs but held judgment until I heard them myself.

Well, I just heard snippets and needless to say, my moment of silence is now over.

WDA.

Honestly, WDA & WTF. Remember one blog ago when I was bitchin' that Z100 plays music that's "popular" i.e. for some god awful reason, people out there think emo is worth listening to?

In all fairness, I understand that if a song's catchy, then it's catchy. Sometimes whatever situation you're in whether it be a club or whatever else, there's a type of music that matches that mode and it works for you. Great. Goodness knows I listen to my fair share of crap as well but sometimes it's all about what you attach it to, the memories generated from it or how it affects your mood and vice versa.

Seriously, I know my logic is at a mere B-, but the solution I worked out in this equation seems true to me:

"In" bands + Disney = Shit.

I've always hated associating or acknowledging Disney's involvement with The Nightmare Before Christmas. Disney (which by the way is not the happiest place on earth because eBay is) was just the parent company/money machine that could help fund Touchstone Pictures and Tim Burton's amazing project.

But you know when some of these 'bands' were asked to cover Nightmare tracks, it was done by some asshat of an executive at Disney based on the sole fact that the bands are currently the "edgy" big money makers in music's popular culture. And if that's not the case, then they were asked in the hopes that they would actually pull something good based on their building their careers as 'creepy, dark' artists.

Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, She Wants Revenge and Fiona Apple have all created soulless versions of some of my favourite songs of all time.

It's a sad day when even Marilyn Manson's cover is pathetic.

::sigh::
