Old Year's Night 2010 with The Cheat, Diderick, Gnomey-Gnome and The HOchieS

The festivities are only now beginning, so I will update as to the happenings some time soon.

Will there be potentially incriminating photos?

Yes, probably.

It's already 2011 somewhere in the world but here in our little corner, we're still waiting to usher in the new year with the rest of you.

Here's the Update! (01/01/2011):

There was much scandal this year.  Yes, much indeed.

The Cheat and Diderick dined on mince and slices of quince, or what we HOchieS like to call, all of this:

New Year's Eve and New Year's Day Massacre

24 days after the fact, I have only today recovered from the horror to post this.

The Cheat and Diderick had the worst New Year's Eve ever. 

There was no alcohol - Diderick fell into a deep depression and I've not been able to console his grief, and once The Cheat got wind of that fact, he went on a rampage.

Full of spite, an innocent was attacked and The Cheat made sure to 'hit' me where it would hurt the most.

The Cheat, while not above getting his hands "dirty", decided to make it even more shocking by hiring muscle to take care of this job.

Decemberween Eve!

I failed this year.

The Cheat and Diderick got me Royal Dansk Butter Cookies in a fancy schmancy bag-like thing, and the tin is fancy schmancy as well. 

And I got them NOTHING.

Well, as soon as that Buffy comic comes out, I will be buying it for them...or The Cheat rather.  Diderick needs his classic reads.

Perhaps I can pull a fast one and wrap up that Simpsons Scene It game for them.

Shhhh.

New Year's Eve with The Cheat, Diderick and Gnome

Goodness.

This year, the Cheat did not drink as much as he usually does. There was no mixing of pills and vodka but Diderick the Christmas Goose Lout was also in the fray.



There was a fight.



They downed the entire bottle of alcohol and for reasons unknown, they did a Caribbean theme this year.

They even brought a couple of rasta yardies and filled them up with alcohol.

Perhaps the most shocking display of all shocking New Year's Eve events of all the years, is that Gnome was present.

Gnome's underaged.



I am mortified and ashamed by The Cheat's behaviour.

Luckily, Gnome thought it all a game and didn't drink any.

Another year, another Decemberween. I'm dreading going over to H1's house because Diderick and The Cheat did no get to open their presents yet (oh yes, I managed to find something for them yesterday...phew) but now, we didn't get to drink and open pyos like we usually do on Decemberween Eve. Heh...

Merry Christmas to all! The pyo list will be updated later but first, thank you to all for the gifts and the well wishes!

Decemberween Eve with The Cheat, Diderick and Gnomey-Gnome

This Decemberween Eve, The Cheat had some new friends to celebrate with. I am uncertain how that worked out for me considering they all chipped in and got me a gift. I was expecting three but it's The Cheat, so he'll find a way to keep all the money to himself as per usual.

This was Gnome's first Decemberween. He was chittering excitedly all day from an undisclosed Hide & Seek location:



Come 10.21 PM, the critters gathered 'round on the swivel chair for the gift exchange.

Gnome, with grin from ear to ear, inspected his present:



And was pleasantly surprised to find that a new friend awaited him on the inside!



Diderick and I had a discussion earlier this month about his lack of present. I assured him, his hooliganry-related present was out there in this world, waiting for me to take it by force.

That has seemed to satisfy his Decemberween needs.

A winner was me with The Cheat's pyo this year as well:



Yes, he is a huge fan.

H1 seemed happy with it too, now that I think about it...

Finally, I opened my present. It is apparent The Cheat likes to be a lifesaver on this holiday. Last year there were TSCs and this year:



Diderick chose the flavour. I am told he is a connoisseur of Gorgonzola.

Now The Cheat prepares for New Year's Day but this year I think the Christmas Goose will show him a thing or two about drinks and getting well sloshed.

Here's hoping for no fights on the 1st.
