As Good As We Remember?

Here we have our latest grocery list -

From Trinidad.

Because, as it is should already be clear to most, we love going to the supermarket.

It's a fondness of mine, going into supermarkets in different countries and wandering through the aisles (the snack aisle is usually the most interesting which should be a surprise to none), and discovering new foods to try.

In Japan there was Fugu Sake.

In London, H1 and I bought 40 pounds worth of candy. By the way, that's 40 pounds UK currency, not weight but still a staggering expense considering the conversion puts it at $80USD.

In Trinidad, there's everything from our childhood.

Whenever I go back, there are certain things on the list that I must buy, but are they really as good as we remember?

Ignoring the sprite and jumping straight to the Cole Cold Pear D: A. I probably drank this practically every day.

Natural Blue Waters: It's not from NYC, and then overpriced, right? Heh. It didn't make me sick so it gets a "A".

Blue Ribbon Chicken Vienna Sausage & regular: B-. That wasn't quite the same or maybe I'm just so used to my Libby's now.

Milo Cereal: "A" for awesome.

Tunnock Wafer Cream: "A"

Kiss Brownie: Meh. "B"

Nissin Oriental Ramen Noodle: "D"

Bermudez Vanilla Cookies: OMG. Amazing! And Amazingly Fresh! "A+"

Orchard Fruit Punch: "A"

Nestle Chocnut: "B"

Orchard Apple Cherry Drink: Bleck! Put me into a sugar shock, why don't you? "F"!

Orchard Orange Drink: Umm. I don't think I had any. "WTF".

Orchard Black Currant Drink: Also sugar shock but not as gross. "C"

Nestle Eggnog: I love that shart still, man. But I do recognize it's not as great quality as what I get at Christmas here. "B+" (probably mostly for nostalgia value).

Kiss Orange Cup Cake: Didn't have any and never wanted it. I hate Kiss cakes.

Maryland Double Chocolate Cookies from Cadbury: "D" Disappointing.

Bermudez Rough Tops: A lot more ginger tasting than I recall but oh so fresh and endearing. "A-".

PC - Oasis Dairy Cool: Milk Penna Cools. Yum. "A+"

Green Sands: "A"

Our Total: "E" for embarrassing.

Currently listening to: "Space & Time Act 2" by S.E.N.S. Project, from the xxxHOliC Original Sound File.

MC's F-art

Thanksgiving is a little more than a week away.

Anticipating that his antics would be greatly missed, MC was kind enough to grace us with MC-isms that will help tie us over this year.

Although the display of his work on this blog may be completely unauthorized, we don't care too much about what he thinks but we were thoughtful enough to examine his work as he asked.

First, his "Circle of Me":

Which to me, looks more like a circle of deer, in a paintball contest, in a gddh fest while peeing on a...what is that? a fire hydrant?

Second, his "A Very Valuable Lesson That I Have Learnt In Life":

Which to H1, looks like love is a one way street that goes over the Brooklyn Bridge.

MC, you asked us to "be kind" but The HOchies only grade truthfully.

Sometimes the truth can be harsh.

The HOchieS can be kind sometimes, and sometimes not so much.

Your Grade:

F-

Memorable moments and quotes of the evening:

Before viewing your work carefully,

H1: he gets an F--

After viewing your work carefully,

H1: ...is there anything lower than an "F--"?

Lou: Yeah, a "Z".

Well, That Was a Waste of Time

Halloween 2007 is over and thank goodness. It was so bad, it doesn't even get a grade! It gets a "U"!

Alright, maybe an "F Minus Minus Squared".

No costume was very inspired this year. There were lots of the usual offenders - princesses and the like. A child of about 12 or not much older, and maybe even younger, showed up in a french maid outfit, with asscheeks hanging out and everything. It was disgusting. That little whore deserved to be locked up in her room with no MTV, Myspace or High School Musical or whatever shit it is she's learning to be ugly from.

It came very close to being a complete disaster for costumes until I saw a Black Spidey, who was slightly awesome thanks in part to the very dazzling, light up necklace around his neck.

Michael Myers, age 14 showed up at the door and that was pretty frightful. He's the only one deserving of an "A".

You know, other than me:

I worked very hard on that gourd! And H1 worked very hard on the self-love!

Boobey Head was rather impressive as well, actually.

There was only one A+ to dole out this holiday:

That boy can put on a wig, toss on a little makeup and be his sister.

What also made this Halloween ass, was that, for every polite child (oh and I must remember that one kid who rang the doorbell a million times only to greet us with a very polite good evening, Happy halloween to us and thanked us for the candy before she even received it - that kid was classic), there were 2 rude, FminusUcking bastards. They were the kind of kids who asked for particular candy but not nicely and then grabbed things from your bowl. They were also the ones not in costume. WTF.

I guess I have only myself to blame for not setting the mood by playing "This Is Halloween". I broke tradition and got shart.

Ah well, it's November! Which means good times in 20 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween's Almost Upon Us

The HOchieS love Halloween and decided to costume up the blog in the spirit of the thing.

C+!

F Minus Minus All 'Round

Happy Halloween, Biatches.
Yep, it's that time of year again when the HOchies rate kids' costumes.
This won't be a very in-depth post like last year's, mostly due to the fact that this HOchie came home late and got a bunch of lazy costume-clathed children at the door.
They swarmed and were unimpressive.

The only kid that caught my attention this year and got an A was a little Agumon. He had a little tail as well.

Being that I had every intention of skipping Halloween this year, my costume was very last minute. I scared no children this year but I will give myself a D for effort for my rendition of Jack Skellington.

The only funny thing that happened today was the fact that I walked the streets of Manhattan with a jack o' lantern bucket full of bread and 5 pieces of candy in hand, like the ass that I am.

Maybe next year will be more exciting. I really hate it when my Birthday Month ends on a low. Halloween's usually my second favourite holiday.
