The Christmas (Present List) Fraught With Extermination and Danger

Some how, this Christmas saw a bunch of Daleks invade the HOchie household.

One Dalek can destroy an entire city so imagine what these three will do!!!!

Crafty

We had no idea that Beetchie was so crafty.  We did know she was shady and "crafty" in that sense but actual 'stitch and felt crafty'? ::GASP!::

Now all I can think about is all the stuff she can make me...bwahahahaha.

I got a wonderful red package from Beetchie today and I knew that it would be good because things that come in a red packet tend to be awesome, right B.?

It is truly bazoobs.

100 Days

It's 100 days until Christmas and I have presents for 4 people.

Some may say I am an over-achiever but I think that's just slacking!

The time of lists fast approaches.

Everyone! Update your Amazon wish lists before Black Friday, mkay?

Thanks.

A Gift

A many number of weeks have gone by since Brother Bunji returned to NYC to work.

While it is not the ideal situation stemming from the ol' "sometimes you just have to do what you have to do", the HOchieS & Bro. are back together.

The work days are longer for all of us but especially for Bunji who more often than not works 14 hour days.

Sometimes though, we travel together.  It mostly happens in the morning and once in a while, we'll be together on evenings.

It's nice to travel together.  We joke around when we're not sleeping.

One morning this week, Bunji turned around (he was in the seat ahead of H1 and myself) and presented me with a closed fist.

I cautiously put out my hand to receive the contents which he dropped non-chalantly, and he turned around before I had time to even process what he gave me.

Eh?

What?

Thanks, Bunji.

They're in my bag if you're looking to get them back.

That Frien' of Mine

Last Christmas, Gen' Frien' put together a very thoughtful lucky bag for me.  It was the cutest thing - full of candy, drawing supplies and a bento.

Today, I received another package of greatness.

Look at the piggyh cups! Ah, she knows me so well.

"Mystery" candy? Intriguing! I wonder what awaits inside...
will open it this weekend.

Thank you for all my accessories to a better bento box builder!

A thank you is in order for forcing me to start making them too.

I sadly did not get to photograph them but the t-shirts you sent for the kids are INCREDIBLE.  I will take pictures soon.

The kids will model and get the work out there.  Indeed.

Sitting at the bottom of my box was the coolest bit of promotional material from one of my favourite bands, from their very first album.

And for this, I thank you,
Gen' Frien' for feeding my obsessions.  Heh.

Update on 4/15/2010:
Okay, Gen'? Meltyblend are greatness! I don't know why that's the first time I've had them...
And the gummie were awesome.  I have to hide the rest from Bunji so that H1 may get some upon her return from her mini-vacation.

The Perfect Pyos

I've started rather late this year with presento-pyo collecting but the constant fear of being jobless and a recession contributed to questioning whether there'd even be a Christmas this year.

The good news is, I'm still excited about Christmas because I have the Office Treat ideas all sorted out and stores are displaying lights and everything festive.

Oh, and I started buying a few things. There's a lot of cool things you can get with $20.00. It's quite nice.

The hunt for presents led to the discovery of two of the most awesome present ideas for a couple of you guys.

Here's one from www.tshirthell.com that's tops for Bunji (tops...t-shirt. Ha.):

For CLEE:

A little something to make the Apple Iphone appear awesome because it sure as hell isn't now, and I'm not just talking about your cracked one either, I'm talking about all Apple Iphones and Ipods.

I especially like that picture of the frying.

As we all know from one of my slogans, bacon makes everything (taste) better.

Cleaning, Conversations, Discoveries and a Terrible Lack of Blogging

There's a reason why I've been staggering the blogging but I've found it very hard the past few days to not type something down.

Although nothing major has happened, there's always some stupid thing to mention!

I feel that I've not played a game in a while, not before Dragon Quest IV which I'm currently kind of playing. It's going okay and a cool thing happened to me. I'm currently running a weapon shop! It's kind of fun but also kind of confusing as to when I should stop working for the day and determining my commission. I know, all that stuff isn't as exciting in real life nor is it that excting in the game.

In the meanwhile, my lack of playing videogames has been usurped by watching anime and television. For a while there I thought I wasn't watching enough American television. So I started watching True Blood, which is going alright. Dexter started up as well, so I watch that. There's a lot on TV and can I just say, CBS has a formula that works brilliantly for them...

It starts with a body, there's a 'bigger' mystery behind why there's a body, then the CSI, CIA, NCIS, FBI and whatever 3-4 letter organizations can be called in to figure out what horrible thing happened. Next they'll be calling The Mentalist, "TheM" and The Ghost Whisperer "TGW" and make a profession out of it.

Aside from collecting various anime and related osts (thx buj...CBS should give me a job), I've been on a hunt for other music. By other I mean, non-anime related soundtracks. Just when I thought I'd not be getting Keane's 3rd album after listening for free last week courtesy of the band and deciding I didn't want to ruin the greatness of their 2nd album with a tainted not-as-good album, I got an e-mail from them telling me I could buy the MP3s for $2.99. Okay, crap or not, I can find 4 songs to like for $2.99 and still get 12! Why, I'm listening to one now and I like it, which leaves only 3 more to go.

With no way to segway, here's another bit of penned up wealth of non-blogging I wanted to mention: I 'cleaned' up my shelf in my room. The stuffed animals that I really didn't need to look at on the daily all went in a tote. It was sad and they're probably pressed for air in there but I think they'll be alright.

As Papa HOchie said, "you moved toys to put more toys on your shelf!" Yep, I sure did. But at least I'm clearing room for dvds and manga and ...more toys.

The discovery I made? I have shit I don't even remember I had. That's so sad. Also, I got some cool things! Like Postulio! And Vivi...who's not as cool. Why do I have that?

A Love Hina shelf! I maintain that I love Love Hina, regardless of how 'shoujo' that makes me, if that's even the word I want to use. Shut up, H1!

Vivi and one of my most awesome figures, my whatever version of Seymour. Shut up, Seymour haters!

L! Aww, poor ded L...

Ded White Boy, peeking Tokyo Monokuro Boo, a smoking watermelon - all slumming it outside Zim's house.

Ooo, hottie Kaoru and vintage DBZ:

Judge Magister Grabranth! I'd open it to showcase all it's glory but it'd probably need its own shelf:

Much like Gungrave (my most badassed figure to date) hiding behind our favourite, Love & Peace-u!

Lord Stanley Hihat Trinidad XIV and Bleach!

and H1's favourite, Majin Kappa

There's more but I haven't set them up yet. Which leads me to my next bit of blogging -

Frass and I went to dinner tonight as part of his birthday and general meeting up plans. We were supposed to be at Janet tonight but Janet J. has some kind of rare form of migraine she says, that makes her get vertigo. I don't understand why she can't include the vertigo moves into her dance routine but that's just me.

We ate at Pongsri and had all the usual suspects. Not picture here are the golden triangles which we devoured earlier on:

It was good seeing him and he gave me presents, making it even a better reason for seeing him. Aha. I keed.

Really though, Frass: have a safe flight and a great time in Merry Ol' England & Italy! I'm still hatin' on you but not really. Take pictures and have tons o' fun!

There's more food news: Magnolia cupcakes are overrated.

H1 and I finally had a taste of what the big deal is about and we still have no idea what the big deal is about.

The cupcakes tried to choke us! The buttercream is fabulous as far as buttercream goes but the cupcake didn't taste fabulous at all and was really dry.

Oh yeah, and Happy Birthday Frass! We hope you enjoy your cupcake even though we knew it sucked before we bought it. Heh.

Hey, at least it was a cutie pie cupcake with that flower! By the way Frass, that cupcake wrapping paper is fantastic.

Finally, Boobey Head made me some eats while I was out today. I got a 3 course meal and I hope next time it'll be a 4 course with a drink, because I get parched and I like 5 or 6 appeteesers.

But really H1, how could you let him buy bacon without the fat?! He may as well have been effin' Canadian!

I know what you peeps are thinking; you're thinking I probably should have not bothered to blog and you know what you can do? You can shut up! Heh.

Pyo List

H1 suggested we keep tabs on our present giving and receiving so as to not forget when Bunji says that he'll not get us anything for birthdays/holidays because of reasons such as, "what did you get me for MY birthday?".

I was stumped and don't recall. I suspect he told me not to buy him anything because I got him a katana last year but I still don't think that's right! I could have sworn I got him something! Or maybe at least H1 did.

Did I get him a game?! Maybe it was Resident Evil IV for the Wii! YES! That was it! Maybe...

H1 got supplies to keep her in the kitchen:

1. a hand-mixer from Frass
2. a hand-blender from Luuuuuiiiissss
3. a bread maker from Luuuuuiiiissss
4. a subscription to Book Swim from X
5. 2 handbags from Momma HOchie and Papa HOchie
6. a new blog from Or 2 and Boobey-Head
7. 2 pieces of photography/art (Trini Hummingbirds) from Pandy, Jilly Bean and CLee
8. a poem and original music from Bughie J.
9. a hand drawn original birthday card from Gen
10. a The Nightmare Before Christmas T-Shirt from Sons
11. Harvest Moon: The Island of Happiness with bonus CLee and Chick from Or 2

I think that's it for now.

From Me to Me

Every year for the past 3 or 4, I've been getting myself something for Christmas. The first it happened to be that I was searching frantically for copies of The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, found them at a 'decent' price and bought them.

Those purchases happened around Christmas, so H1 took it upon herself to wrap up my games, stuck them under the tree and made me write out tags "From Me, to Me" much to my dismay.

Since that time, she has insisted that she wrap things up that I get for myself and put them under the tree if it happens in the month of December.

Last year, she did an expert job of using the scraps of paper at the end of the gift-wrapping sessions and used them to fancy up my Radiohead Discbox of "In Rainbows".

The year before that I'm fuzzy on and don't recall what it was, if anything at all.

So I just wanted to ask H1 if she had any intention of wrapping up my Ultimate Collector's Edition of The Nightmare Before Christmas 15th Anniversary Set I got recently (number 15, 483 of ?????).

I think that'd just be wrong of you, H1. It's September. Don't you be wrapping up my shart!

Speaking of shart, where are my Christmuth Liths from previous years? Weren't we supposed to post those on here to show my ridiculousness (in your opinion)?

Christmas List 2007

It's the end of August and you'd think that I'd already have had my Christmas shopping done, right?

Har Har.

So this year I've slacked some but I did start my list today.

It's looking kind of sad this year since I don't know what to get you people. Suggestions are welcome but not necessarily accepted.

Don't forget, request something ridiculous and feel the wrath of me come December.

Also, can you believe in making my list I forgot to put X on there?

Guess it must mean she gets nothing from me this year.

Presents, Kyle... Presents

Dear Sons,

You are right: Hot Pink, Tokyo & Funny Looking Things go well together.

Dear Battler,

As usual, the plethora of love in a bag is good times. Badtz Maru is being rocked at the job today.

Dear Bughie J.,

Thank you for the copious amounts of love in brownies and new music.

Dear MC,

I love <3 redundancy. And that makes me think maybe I really do need that "Brain Boost"

Dear TD5,

Thanks. I live in the Amazonian Jungle, as you know. Hopefully I can find an 80gb Ipod hanging from a tree.

Dear SF,

It better be good and by good, it better be my MUSE Wembley Stadium Tickets for June 16th, 2007. And I realize I have no right to tell you it better be good especially after you see what I got you. Heh heh heh. I suspect you will slay me.

Dear X,

My ring looks fantabulous on my finger. I know this because right after lunch today, I looked down at my hand & had a moment.

Dear Beetchie,

My MUSElet is the best damned thing eva' and my obsession will not be ending anytime soon despite your pleading. And now you have only yourself to blame.

Dear The Cheat,

Thanks for saving my life with the T.S.C. I think I'm addicted to them. Also, the piggyh pez dispenser is now in the garbage. I mean...in the rubbish. I keed.

Dear Beat,

Thanks for the monkey pajamas. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say considering you're the only little monkey around hya (or was it quenk?); but I do know what you're trying to do but let me assure you that getting overly large PJ pants may be a good way to trip Suga'Face down the stairs but I will always have that title even if you are Suga'Babe. I cannot be replaced.

Dear HOchie 1,

Thanks for the fun times with Wii and for the sleep sack. I was kind of hoping it had ducks on it like Beat's. Please provide me with ducks.

And to all,

Everyone is welcome to come over to my room for some cold ones.

Happy Decemberween

And Merry Christmas, Bitches!

More about the present situation later... har har.

Decemberween Eve with The Cheat

The Cheat In Front of the Decemberween Tree with present in hand

The Cheat Opens said present and look,

Why, if it isn't a The Legend of Zelda Kirby.

But wait!!

The Cheat Got Me a Present as well! What is it?! On first glance it seems to be a box of 32 Decemberween Cards.

But inside the box reveals the actual present!

That Piggyh Pez dispenser and those Tiny Size Chicklets will save my life (as HOchie 1 pointed out), much like Altoids did at College.

Thank you, The Cheat.
