Not only did The HOchieS have to suffer through Miley Cyrus' disgusting 'vocals' and a near miss of seeing her disgustingly not-cute face (she's not cute, alright? Let us just tell it like it is!), but we had to suffer through her legions of tweens and 6 year olds who have NO business liking that shart for 'music' as they left their disgusting mess on the streets of NYC.
Gamers versus privileged wannabe jerk children - we're much cleaner.
After Beetchie and I camped out on the street waiting for the Master amongst other gamers, we left 5th Ave. spotless! And not just because the folks at Nintendo made us clean it up, either!
Currently listening to: "Lost...Broken Shards" by Yasunori Mitsuda, from the Xenogears Original Soundtrack.
Why did those assholes from Fall Out Boy and The Less-Than-Cool Simpsons name their child "Bronx"?
That's just a gross misuse of the word and some real dirtying of Da Boogie Down.
Instead of naming the child Mowgli as well, they should have named it Dumbo. That animal related name is more appropriate for an evil Disney-like Devil Spawn with a mother whose ears are as long and big as her face.
I just hope it wouldn't be an appropriate name for the level of intelligence too but with parents like those, the kid probably doesn't stand a chance.
Plastic surgery's not genetic, right? Because I can't wait for the real Asslee nose and chin to make an appearance on Dumbo. The child will have character and not look like a generic blonde idiot.
Currently: Amused that I am extra hateful when I'm half-asleep.
At first I was excited to see that NME had a story about Mindless Self Indulgence's performance at Leeds Festival in the UK. Then I saw what they labelled MSI. I got angry.
They decided to call them 'electro-emo'. EMO. Who the eff calls MSI Emo?! The only reason NME wrote about them was due to the fact that in typical MSI fashion, Jimmy threw insults at the crowd, themselves, and went ahead and tossed some at Oasis and Blur.
Just because LynZ is married to emo king Gerard Whiny Way, does not make MSI emo, you stupids.
Besides, are Emo people even capable of insulting anyone? Don't they all just sit around and cry?
That is what happens when idiots are allowed to write.

N.J. School Locked Down for Ninja Sighting
BARNEGAT, N.J. (AP) -- It's the case of the nonexistent ninja.
Public schools in Barnegat were locked down briefly after someone reported seeing a ninja running through the woods behind an elementary school.
Turns out the ninja was actually a camp counselor dressed in black karate garb and carrying a plastic sword.
Police tell the Asbury Park Press the man was late to a costume-themed day at a nearby middle school.
The lockdown began shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday and lasted until 9:30. (TM & Copyright 2008 CBS Radio Inc. and its relevant subsidiaries. CBS RADIO & EYE Logo TM & Copyright 2008 CBS Broadcasting Inc. Used under license. All Rights Reserved.
The moral of this bit of news:
He couldn't be no effin' Ninja; he was seen! This story is another example of proof that people from NJ are special. No one knows what a real ninja looks like. All we know is that they exist.
Memorable Quotes of Today:
H1: Luuuuiiiissss brought home a bottle of Johnsons' baby cologne. I said, "you know they market this kind of thing to Puerto Ricans, right? Where'd you get it? The Goya section?"
Teenager's Video with Naruto Quote Leads to Arrest posted on 2008-03-04 14:56 EST YouTube clip quoting Naruto's Gaara raises charges of threatening, breach of peace
Connecticut State Police arrested an 18-year-old on Sunday after he uploaded a clip to the YouTube video-sharing service that allegedly threatened the students of his former school and used a quote from the Naruto manga and anime character Gaara. The suspect, Brandon A. Brown of New London, Connecticut, had been expelled from Grasso Southeastern Technical High School last June. The allegedly threatening video contained a variation on Gaara's trademark line ("The Corpse's Crimson Bitter Tears Will Flow And Mingle Though [sic] The Endless Sand Feeding The Chaos In Me And Making Me Stonger [sic]") and a warning to Grasso students to "Beware All Those Who Cross My Path […] On March 19, 2008 THE END IS HERE.” The video was included in a user channel with two earlier, unrelated Gaara video clips.
After the allegedly threatening video was posted on February 27, another student's parent saw it and complained to police. Brown was then arrested on charges of threatening and breach of peace. He has been released on US$2,500 bail. In response to the situation, Grasso principal Kerry Bell wrote a letter to parents that described the incident.

Today there was yet another Gaara related incident in the news - some 10 year olds felt they could bury their friend in the sandbox because they could do sand manipulation. You know, there's a reason why it's called "desert coffin". Yeesh.
And so the backlash of Naruto and all anime shall begin, much like the attack on video games.
It was very unfortunate what happened but don't blame Gaara for shit.
No H1, Gaara should not be banned. You'd be banning yourself.
Ridiculous.
Thanks for ruining things for the rest of us, people. Thanks.
Edit: Apparently I have to amend after receiving this comment from Bughie J., "Meat without feet is okay but everyone knows the best meat has feet." and the comment previously left by X.
While that's all well and good, and The HOchies appreciate your support of legged animals, I think we're missing the point some here.
The point being "meat without feet" is a gross misuse of the word "meat"!!!!!!
Sid! Sid, where are you?! I have to post about stupid bands and/or betches, AGAIN tonight.
Tonight, it's all about that betch Amy Lee.
Look! Another stupid Amy in the music world! And shut up, Mitch Connors, I DO NOT remind you of her. Just like I am in no way, reminiscent of Rosie. Ever. ::mutter mutter:: Stupid Frass ::mutter mutter::
NEW YORK (Billboard) -- The guitarist and drummer with Evanescence have left the top-selling rock act for undisclosed reasons.
Guitarist John LeCompt claimed on his MySpace.com blog that he was fired during a cell phone conversation with singer Amy Lee, while drummer Rocky Gray said he was asked by band management not to discuss the situation.
However, Lee said in a statement that Evanescence remains "alive and well" and will soon return to the road with new musicians.
"John and Rocky were in Evanescence for four years and we shared some great times together playing live, but they were ready to move on and so we have parted ways," she said. "Evanescence is something I have loved and nurtured since I was 14, and I will continue to protect and fight for it as I always have.
LeCompt did not paint the situation so rosily on his blog. "Without any warning or negotiations for my future, I was fired for no good reason," he said. "We have not always seen eye to eye on everything, but who does? Our common goal was always the same. To make Evanescence the best rock band it could ever be. I have always given blood, sweat and tears to make that happen but apparently that is not enough. I have now become just another of the people fallen by the wayside on the revolving door of her life."
LeCompt was referring to the messy 2003 departure of founding guitarist Ben Moody, who was replaced by former Cold principal Terry Balsamo, and the 2006 exit of bassist Will Boyd, who was replaced by former Revolution Smile guitarist Tim McCord.
Lee said no shows would be canceled due to the lineup shift, but the group won't have long to draft replacements for LeCompt and Gray. It is due to return to the stage May 19 at the first Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio, and has European dates on tap through late June.

Three things -
1. H1's right to ask, "If you have but one of your original members, are you still the same band?"
2. I did so enjoy reading LeCompt's assessment of the situation and of Amy Lee's character.
3. Amy The Stupid Lee, what the f.? Did you think just because Korn asked you to cover "Freak On a Leash" you're hot shit? I'm sorry to say it to Korn but you guys went downhill ever since Head found Jeebus. And though I may hate David, his ass was smart to leave or go on 'hiatus' as it were. Korn! Your time is done and working with Amy Lee made you lose whatever creds you had left. ALL.
On a side note, I've come to a realization in the past few days.
You know how I always rant that if it's female and sings then chances are TD5 loves it? I now know that, in addition to this, if it's female and sings then chances are I hate it.
And on another random note, but still music related, did anyone see the video for The Red Hot Chili Peppers' new song? Let us just say...RHCP going street made me incredibly scared yet I couldn't... look... away.
Maybe it was AK's big, gold grill? Or the fact that I never thought I'd hear the words "Hump de Bump" come out of his mouth? Well, one thing's for sure, I knew the day would come that if that ever happened, it'd sound stupid. And sure enough...
- Or 2, weeding out the assholes since 1992.
Currently listening to: "Teddy Picker" by Arctic Monkeys. Now THERE's a band. Yeah. At this time one week from now, I'll be too tired to blog but really wanting to. I love you, Alex! He is a clever little man, isn't he?
Dominic Howard and Matthew Bellamy of the band Muse are fans of Klaxons, according to an interview in the NME, and have been to a number of their gigs. They also recently asked Jamie of Klaxons if they would support them for their two Wembley stadium concerts to which he reportedly replied "nah, we don't support anyone" (as reported by the band on a recent Drowned In Sound podcast). The band, who afterwards expressed regret stating alcohol to be a factor in their refusal of the support slot, have since been re-approached and confirmed that they in fact do wish to play with Muse.
Matthew Bellamy has re-opened his offer to Klaxons to support them at the upcoming Wembley gig, when he became aware of the confusion he told NME: "Is that what they've said? Well OK, if they're still up for it, we'll bring them on!" [4] They have still not been confirmed as one of the three bands to support them on both dates. - source, wikipedia on the Klaxons.
I found this article to be hilarious. Now I'm obsessed with listening to these guys. It kind of scares me that they're often classified as "nu rave" because I'm not sure we should be ravin' anymore but I'll bring them on too! I need to sort them out myself...
Beetchie and I saw the cover of this month's Spin Magazine the other night and noticed a quote pulled from an interview with my chemical romance (out of sheer disgust and disrespect for this 'band', I will no longer address them with capital letters) plastered on the cover. It read the following,
"Kids were killing themselves until they heard our music."
I am not lying. That is what we saw.
Beetchie's description of them as arrogant assholes is nothing short of fitting.
This is a post about the assness that is 30 Seconds to Mars.
And the warning - This IS a Music Elitist rant.
I don't know if I posted about them before other than that they were alright as an opening act for Audioslave.
Yes, I didn't know Jared Leto had a band at that time. I soon found out but did I blog about the fact that I got their cd as a gift and was really pissed off when I tried playing it?
I don't know who they think they are but whenever a band copy protects their cd, it makes me really angry. If I have a cd and cannot convert it to play it on my Ipod then it just doesn't get played.
Yes, Ipod/Itunes sucks for having certain media format as well but it is my choice of format and has been for years now. Mp3s are great things. And I don't mind going the extra step to convert different formats to mp3s. But when a band goes out of their way to make sure that I can't convert easily then that's a problem, especially if I, or someone I know, has spent money to buy it.
That just makes me lose interest in listening.
So, I've had beef with 30 Seconds To Mars ever since. But now, I've even more reason... (the following article was found on www.IMDB.com)
Leto Tried To Choke Wood at Awards Show
Elijah Wood was shocked when he was attacked by Jared Leto at an awards show recently, because The Lord Of The Rings star said he didn't like Leto's band.
The 26-year-old star was attending the MTVU Woodie Awards in November when Leto, who is the lead singer of cult act 30 Seconds To Mars, approached his table. Leto came over, whispered in Wood's ear and walked away, but then turned around, grabbed him by the throat and called him a "f**king a**hole."
Wood tells Jane magazine, "He was basically upset at the fact that I said I didn't like his band. He said that initially and walked away. I guess he thought I was laughing at him, but I was more shell-shocked and telling people around me, 'Whoa, I just got told off by Jared Leto for not liking his band.' And that's when he came back and grabbed me." He adds, "I told Jared it wasn't personal. He acted like I'd been disrespecting him or speaking about his family. Things like that don't usually happen to me. I'm very non-confrontational. The whole thing was kind of ridiculous."
Why...would you ever think to hurt a little Hobbit? Why?
Can someone explain to me why I can access the ITunes Music Store in various countries, preview songs from these countries but unless I can show proof of residency in said countries, I am unauthorized to make any foreign purchases?
And then to add insult to injury, they tell me that they're gonna re-direct me to the U.S. Store. Needless to say..., Steve Job's getting an angry e-mail soon.
Well, the laughing has ended some. An apology is in order for QT although okay, we still haven't seen anything about the dance actually being banned but the death part is seemingly true. This is all very tragic. And if you noted, I said 'the laughing has ended some'. The HOchies are not laughing at anyone's plight but we are still laughing at Jamaicans misuse of the language and sense.
Here's an update and thank you to Mitch *Connors* for providing this follow up news article on the "Dutty Wine" taken from the Jamaican Gleaner News:
Dance of death? - Beacon Hill residents blame 'Dutty Wine' for teen's death published: Monday | October 30, 2006

SPANISH TOWN, St. Catherine:
The popular "Dutty Wine" dance is being blamed for yesterday's death of an 18-year-old St. Catherine woman.
Tanisha Henry was attending a 'school uniform' party at Beacon Hill, Thompson Pen, about four o' clock Sunday morning when, while doing the popular dance, she collapsed and was rushed to the nearby Spanish Town Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
When The Gleaner checked with the institution, a representative said persons have for some time been warned of the dangers associated with the dance, but that no one seems to have taken heed.
In March, The Star reported warnings from doctors that the 'Dutty Wine' was a dangerous dance that could cause serious neck injury and lifelong pain.
Residents in shock
The dance, done mainly by women, involves the rapid rotation of the neck and posterior simultaneously.
"If you throw the body in extreme positions, as in the case of the 'Dutty Wine', you could have muscle trauma, damage to your ligaments and shifting in bones," Dr. Jephthath Ford, general practitioner, told The Star.
In the Beacon Hill area, where yesterday's incident occurred, several persons said they were shocked by what had happened.
"It is a warning to young people that dem mus stop du de Dutty Wine," said one woman who called the incident a curse on the land. "Is like a demon sen' from de pit a hell dat is taking the lives of the youth even before dem have time to repent."
Yesterday Tanisha's mother, Linda Henry, said she was still in shock.
"I was at home about 4 o'clock when I feel like something is wrong with Tanisha as I did not see her when she came from work last night," she said. "About half an hour after, I got the news that she was dancing Dutty Wine and collapse."
Ms. Henry said that, on going to the hospital, her worst fear was realised when the doctor told her that her daughter was dead as a result of the dance. She added that it was a very sad moment and that Tanisha, who works at a pharmacy, was her last child. She said she did not know how the family would cope with her death.
The Spanish Town police are conducting a routine investigation into the matter.
Well, MC has also provided a video so let's all look at it together -
And after watching that...goddamn. Goddamn. From a Hell Pit indeed.
SYDNEY, Australia (CNN) -- Steve Irwin, the enthusiastic "Crocodile Hunter" who enthralled audiences around the world with his wildlife adventures, died Monday morning after being stung by a stingray while shooting a TV program off Australia's north coast.
Media reports say Irwin was snorkeling at Batt Reef, a part of the Great Barrier Reef about 9 miles (about 15 kilometers) from the town of Port Douglas, when the incident happened.
Irwin, 44, was killed by a stingray barb that pierced his chest, according to Cairns police sources.
Irwin was in the area to film pieces for a show called "The Ocean's Deadliest" with Philippe Cousteau, grandson of Jacques, according to Irwin's manager and friend John Stainton. But weather had prevented the crew from doing work for that program, Stainton said, so Irwin decided to do some softer features for a new children's TV show he was doing with his daughter, Bindi.
"He came over the top of a stingray that was buried in the sand, and the barb came up and hit him in the chest," Stainton said. Copyright 2006 CNN. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed. Associated Press contributed to this report.
R.I.P. Steve Irwin. ='( And that stupid Cathy in NJ, whoever you are, who said that Steve Irwin thrived off agitating animals and that you hope there is a lesson in his the tragedy of his death - Cathy, you're an ass.
