Sharks

Everyone who knows me, knows that I love sharks. I would not love to be in the water with a shark but this shark is on my list of awesome:

Mike Delph, left, and Dr. Martin Arostegui, right, of Coral Gables, Fla. hold a 385-pound lemon shark caught in early March near the Marquesas Keys, west of Key West, Fla. Arostegui, a doctor with a slew of world fishing records added another one to his collection when he caught the 385-pound lemon shark on fly tackle, the International Game Fish Association said Tuesday, May 16, 2006. Bring The Pain...

My focus is all crocused.
Mosh pits apparently can do that to you as well as make you hurt days later(ow ow ow ow!!!) as I now know.
It's true that you learn something new every day... and that is what I've been learning since May 11th.
Day 2 after the fact.
Thank you, Mindless Self Indulgence.

Despite the lack of movement without copious amounts of pain in the arms, I love MSI!

And now for a list of 1. Things that went just plain wrong at the concert. 2. Things that could have gone from bad to worse. And 3. Things that were OH so right!:

Just plain wrong - People who smell BEFORE the concert starts. I'm not sure how that works exactly but it's SCARY.
could have gone from bad to worse - Said smelly people that could have been near me AFTER the concert leading to events that could have been SCARIER.

Just plain wrong - Non-conformists, judgmental 'know-it-alls'.
OH so right! - Little Jimmy Urine telling them that "if you guys all died right now, Hot Topic would go out of business."
could have gone from bad to worse - thank goodness I wasn't wearing any of my Hot Topic gear that day...har har.

Just plain wrong - The shock at how small the Avalon is and standing and waiting for MSI from 6.30 - 9 p.m. amongst that crazy crowd of assholes, even though the ticket said the show started at 8. I was getting agitated but it wasn't that bad because...
OH so right! - Jess and Beetchie would break out in the occasional dancing during the dj music session before the show (And The Cheat did not spin those tunes nor did he do the light show). Also, I did enjoy the little ghetto white fan set up for Kitty . That amused me for some reason.

Just plain wrong - The Mosh Pit at the beginning of the set. It was CHAOS. Feeling like you're going to fall with 20 people on top of you is not good times and never gets easier on the nerves even after the 5th occurrence.
could have gone from bad to worse - my neck being broken because it sure felt like it at one point but did not happen thanks to Beetchie and Jesse because they ensured that no one messed with me.
OH so right! - Beetchie in the pit, tearing it up like nobody's business! There was something about someone grabbing me then Beetchie grabbing that person and tossing him off of me then grabbing me to her to make sure I was alright. And after the initial insanity of the Pit, why did I actually enjoy shoving people around once I could move? Probably because they deserved it. Stupid MFs!

I was happy once I got pushed out of the Pit and managed to moved off to the side. I can always boast about being in a Pit from this day forth (and what a Pit!) but I was quite content watching the show rather than watching my back.

Here's the awesome setlist (except it should be noted that I have only the first 2 songs and last song in the order it should be. The 3 songs before the last I'm a bit fuzzy as to if they were actually played but I think at least two of them were. Everything else was played that night but not necessarily in that order. Hey, it's amazing I even remember all this...):

Shut Me Up
Diabolical
Golden I
Tornado
Uncle
Tornado
Backmask
Two Hookers
Kill the Rock
Bring The Pain
Faggot
Stupid MF
Molly
1989
London Bridge
Bitches
What Do They Know? (My favourite MSI Song!!!! I was hella happy)
Bullshit
Tom Sawyer
Step Up, Ghetto Blaster
Planet of the Apes
Last Time I Tried To Rock Your World
Straight To Video
(oh and some random metal power ballad of the 80's that Jimmy lipsync'd to after my cutie bassist Lynn Z dived off the balcony and crowd surfed her way to the front of the stage - SHE ROCKS!!!!!)

Here are some of the memorable quotes and good time performances for the evening:

From Steve, Righ? : at the start of the set "Are we going to start the 'how many times will Steve puke tonight collection'? No!!! Now SHUT THE FUCK UP!" And then straight into "Shut Me Up", it was fantastic!!!!

From Jimmy:

"Stop looking for porn and googling your full names!"

"You over there! (pointing to some random dude) You look really gay. Get out of here because there's only a certain level of gay allowed in this place and I fill that quota."

"How many of your blogs have I not read yet? I'm serious, I'm lurking around on the internet."

"I say we should bring the whole East Coast/West Coast gang wars back. The next time you see someone wearing a Tupac shirt, punch him in the face and tell him the ghost of Biggie made you do it!"

I got props from Beetchie who was impressed by my rapping skills. I loved the performance on this because Jimmy rapped half the song without music with the band coming in strong at the first "is it real son"

The conversation with the puppet wolf was great especially when Jimmy knocked him over the head with the microphone for nodding a no to Jimmy's request to do the Snoopy Dance. The Snoopy Dance itself was funny as all hell. "...He's (the puppet wolf) got more friends on MySpace than I do."

The best performance was Jimmy making us his giant Nintendo Controller for use during "Tom Sawyer":

Point UP for Jimmy to Jump up and down in one spot
<-- Point LEFT for Jimmy to move Left like a robot
--> Point RIGHT for Jimmy to move Right like a robot
A Turn the fist around and around and he'd crazily run around the stage
B Suck on your finger for him to do a sexy pose

Oh, "but no Nintendo Power Glove because it does not work with this system."

All of these good times and more lasted a little over an hour despite the length of the setlist because if you know MSI, you know that their songs are usually no longer than 2 minutes. However, that one hour was one of the best I've had in my short concert history.
Jess, Beetchie and I got their autographs at the end of the show. Sadly there were no photos taken with them although we could have with no trouble since they are cool enough to do that for their fans. I think Beetchie was quite happy getting her ticket signed, Jess getting her shirt and stomach signed and I'm happy with my signed t-shirt.

And let it be known that I love that Jimmy Urine
Damn! I should have gotten HIS name tattooed to my arm. Having "URINE" on my arm would be much cooler than "ALEX". At least I'd remember why I had "URINE"...

Currently listening to the band that has the most songs in my Top 25 Most Listened to on the Ipod including the number 1 most played: "London Bridge" - Mindless Self Indulgence and Patty's constant bitchin' about how I don't love her today because I'm here blogging instead of sitting by her while she plays "Harvest Moon".

My Brush With Evil.

It was on Saturday last.
There I was standing at the street cookie stand in Chinatown. I bought said good time cookies only to turn around and see one of my enemies.
I quickly turned around because where there is one asshole, there lurks another.
Sure enough second asshole comes STRAIGHT towards the cookie stand because of course, she wants some of those too. Ugh.
But thankfully this brush with evil was merely a close call. Still, hearing your enemy ordering 2 bags of cookies is a scary thing.
I'm very pleased I escaped that torture because tonight is one of those nights where it is re-affirmed that those two are truly disgusting, stupid people.
I don't know why it's justified for anyone to bash another person based on the fact that they are gay. And I don't know what right people have using derogatory terms to describe homosexuals.
And oh, the things I can go on about relating to those two but I need to get to bed.
Hopefully I'll have no brushes with evil tomorrow of the "I'm going to get squished in the mosh pit" variety at the MSI concert.
I am so nervous...

Random

Did anyone else notice that Kelly Clarkson's "Walk Away" sounds suspiciously like Tony! Toni! Tone!'s "If I Had No Loot"?

Also, that new song by Fort Minor "Where'd You Go" is horrendous.
I really don't have much against Shinoda for the most part...but that song irritates me. And it doesn't help when HOchie 1 calls me up just so I can hear it playing in the background.
I hate it when I might have to support Mike Shinoda ONLY because he did a collaboration with Kenna. I suppose though that I'd really be supporting Kenna... yes. That's it.

Finally, I would like to thank Ticketmaster for allowing me to be arsed out of seeing Radiohead.
But I won't be a little crybaby about this one. And that's only due to the fact that I can just hear Thom in my head taunting me.
And I am not Scott Tennorman.

Currently listening to: "Vicarious" by Tool.
Now there's a band. A band that is thoroughly disturbing me right now but they're hella' awesome. I am most impressed by Maynard's vocal work and musically, they're amazing.

Pay Back is Fun!

Today TheHOchies and friends trekked to the movies to see "Slither".
If anyone was forced to watch that...sorry excuse for a movie otherwise known as scary movie 4, by people who call themselves friends, then be sure to go see "Slither" as your choice of movie payback. This is what TheHOchies did and it sure worked out for us. That movie was good times and the end song which I'm currently listening to is hilarious. Ahhh, good times...
Nathan Fillion is awesome.

All hail Caleb!!!!

Lucky, Lucky... You're So Lucky

I had every intention of writing a vile blog bashing ticketmaster yet again at the end of this week regarding "the Incident". And that would have been today, well - April 14th (it's now April 15th as I write this). You know, the day I was supposed to be at the Franz Ferdinand/Death Cab for Cutie concert but got screwed out of it... yes. THAT incident.

Wednesday came.

And like all Wednesdays, and any other day for that matter, I checked my e-mail in the morning.

"Oh look...e-mail from Franz Ferdinand. It's probably going to be some bragging about how fantastic touring with DCFC is. Wonderful...this saves me the trouble of googling their website so I can torture myself. 'FF announces secret show'. Oh. Ok, whatever. Let's see the e-mail content here. ...eye twitch... 'secret show in NYC this week, details to come!' ...eye twitch..."

Wednesday afternoon - no details on the show. "Damn, I know once I get home they're going to announce a 9 p.m. show!" I got home and quickly checked e-mail - nothing.

Thursday came.

Frantically checked e-mail at 7.26 a.m. and lo and behold, details! "'Free show at the Hammerstein on April 14th!' YES!!!!!!!!!!!! 'Must go to Tower Records in the Village to get wristband. And get there early to ensure success due to limited quantities!' FUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Thursday morning at work, penned e-mail to supervisor and boss:
Please be advised I have an appointment this afternoon and will be leaving at 1.15

1.45 p.m. - is the time I actually left office to meet Beetchie down on 8th.
There were no problems getting the wristband except some shadiness went down that involved our profile printouts from MySpace being taken away from us...
And I picked up some cream puffs for the peeps at work because you know, if I didn't get through with the FF deal, I could at least get the best goddamned cream puffs eva' out of the whole deal.

Friday:
Hammerstein @ 2p.m.
in the line 2 p.m. - 3.25 p.m.
herded into Hammerstein - 3.25 p.m.
FREE (take that ticketmaster bitches) Franz Ferdinand Concert from the second row from the stage on the dancefloor - 3.45

The 50 minute setlist:

Michael
Auf Ausche
I'm Your Villain (IT ROCKED!!!!!)
Tell Her Tonight (Because we all wanted to hear Nick sing. I think Nick wanted to slug Alex for putting him on the spot. Truthfully, I think FF duped us into thinking that's what we wanted to hear.)
Van Tango (this after deliberation and suggestions from the crowd as to what song they should play. Someone wanted the Gwen Stefani cover but Alex didn't know the words since he had them in front of him the last time he did. Yeah, I've no clue what the hell these people were talking about. Then "All For You, Sophia" was suggested but they didn't remember how to play their own song so that idea was shot)
Do You Want To
L.Wells (new song! or at least one that we have not gotten in the U.S.)
Walk Away (This song was for Bob and everyone who loved him)
Evil and a Heathen
Darts of Pleasure (some kids got to go up on stage for this one. I couldn't jump the barrier to join them 'cause my ass would have fallen and been broken)
Outsiders (it was the one song I wanted to see them perform and it was superfantastisch)

My boys have great personalities. The show was extremely intimate. It was more of a jam session/private concert. With the guys chatting with us and each other, it felt as though we had all known each other and been old high school friends from good old days back in Scotland. All of us except for the 10 year old in front - she would not have been born yet. Perhaps she could best be described in this scenario as someone's bastard child? Whose? Meh.

And as if all that wasn't enough to make up for "the Incident"... I got to wrap my arm around Alex Kapranos, gaze lovingly up at him as he posed for a picture (yeah, he's hot and I was temporarily insane but only for a micro second I swear!!!!) and got my free poster signed by him. And thank you to Beetchie for making Alex take pity on me. "Awww". Don't 'aww' me just because Beetchie told you I was shy! ...Apparently there's truth in her saying that she cannot take me anywhere. How embarrassing. And now to quickly distract from my last statement - how cool was it that he came out to chat with the fans after the show especially since he had another one to do not long after?

Had I been thinking clearly (remember people, micro second of extreme insanity or what I like to call stupidity) I would have had him sign my arm and gotten it tattooed forever. I know I always said I'd reserve that for someone I really love if I ever met them but hey, I wouldn't mind having "ALEX" engraved into my arm. And so what if 20 years later I wouldn't have a clue who "ALEX" is...

So I didn't get to see Death Cab but that's okay. I was always in it for the FF though it would have been nice to hear DCFC play "Title and Registration" and hence reason 40 that Ticketmaster is evil.

The only downer about this whole adventure is that HOchie 1 was not with me.

I know this blog makes no sense. This is what we call, "I wanted to be in bed 4 hours ago".

Ever since the day after VD

I've been having a string of bad luck. Oh, VD = Valentine's Day.

I already blogged about the FF/Death Cab BS. Oh, BS = Bullsh*t.

I'm not really over that whole mess especially since Fuse insists on showing Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab specials every chance they get. "Down with Ticketmaster!!!" Ok.

Anyway, April Fool's Day came. At Midday, I sat here and bought my tickets (down with ticketmaster! A 20 dollar concert turned out to be 25.80 thanks to handling fees or some BS) to Mindless Self Indulgence.
Fun times, right?
Sure...If the club at which they're going to perform re-opens before May 11th after being shut down via court order for the selling of drugs in that church(The Avalon is some kind of former church or some bizarre such nonsense)!

Sandy Cheeks told me things won't get better until after April because she just senses it. So far she's right. I'm hoping/feeling things will get better by say Wednesday or Mid-Month but I'm not nearly as good a soothsayer as Sandy Cheeks.

Nor can I karate chop a xylophone like nobody's buisness. You just don't mess with peeps who can do that.

The Most Awesome Cat Ever.

Crazy Cat Terrorizes Connecticut Town

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) -- Residents of the neighborhood of Sunset Circle say they have been terrorized by a crazy cat named Lewis. Lewis for his part has been uniquely cited, personally issued a restraining order by the town's animal control officer.

"He looks like Felix the Cat and has six toes on each foot, each with a long claw," Janet Kettman, a neighbor said Monday. "They are formidable weapons."

The neighbors said those weapons, along with catlike stealth, have allowed Lewis to attack at least a half dozen people and ambush the Avon lady as she was getting out of her car.

Some of those who were bitten and scratched ended up seeking treatment at area hospitals.

Animal Control Officer Rachel Solveira placed a restraining order on him. It was the first time such an action was taken against a cat in Fairfield.

In effect, Lewis is under house arrest, forbidden to leave his home.

Solveira also arrested the cat's owner, Ruth Cisero, charging her with failing to comply with the restraining order and reckless endangerment.
- 1010 Wins, March 29th 2006.

Poor Kitty under house arrest. It reminds me of the time Lucy Goosey was placed under house arrest at the petting zoo for nipping at children.

Though I have to say, this doesn't really look the face of a cat that's too concerned:

He actually looks quite wicked but something tells me everyone who got attacked didn't get a chance to see the face of evil but only a fluffy black and white ball bounding off to its next victim.

This is expected though from an animal that lives in a state that is part of the Axis of Evil.

Don't worry, Kitty! I'll bust you out!

It's Time to Play The Music, It's Time to Light The Lights, It's Time to Meet The Muppets on the Muppet Show Tonight...

X and I saw a Live Action Muppet!

We always thought Janice was a vegetarian, goddamned dirty hippie until we saw her eating copious amounts of pork dim sum in Chinatown today...

And I swear this was before the turkey testicle, so I was not hallucinating. And X didn't have it, so she wasn't hallucinating. In the interest of privacy and protection of the Muppet we are unable post said picture here.

About that TT... We shall think of it this way: If I were to be stranded on a deserted island surrounded by a life time supply of turkey testicles as my only sustenance, I would rather die.
The taste was not the problem but the popping sure was. Ew.

Kenka's was a bit of a disappointment today. I will never eat pike again. The scallops were far from buttery smothered grilled goodness and the plum wine tasted like maraschino cherry syrup. If I wanted to drink cherry wine, I would have ordered cherry wine. I believe the order was for PLUM wine. Eh, maybe I'm just not a plum wine connoisseur which is quite possible.

The sad part about the whole thing was that in an effort to end dinner on a high note, I had to eat the rest of my salad.

Salad.

All in all, it was alright times. It was definitely good times that I got to see and spend time my friend of 12 years (who I had not seen in about 5), bond with X, see Marie and hang with everyone's favourite Beetchie.

Yet Another Reason to be an Angry Elf

Ticketmaster.
On April 14th, instead of being on the dance floor at the Franz Ferdinand concert - I will probably be on the train all angried up.
If anyone can give me a logical reason as to why it's okay that a concert sells out at a pre-sale, please feel free to pass it along.

Giant Castles Give Me The Jibblies

I hate giant towns and I hate giant castles even more. It's no secret I can get lost in a circular room or cough.. St. Marks ..cough and that counts for virtual castles too. And if you're so damned rich, why not fix the mouse hole in the left tower instead of trying to hide it with ugly clay jars? At LEAST put some valuables in the clay jars so that I may steal them...sheesh.

Here's what I learnt so far from Dragon Quest VIII:

The thought of being tortured at dawn is not fun. Also, finding out that The Cheat is throwing an after-torture party and inviting all to it and encouraging them to bring eats is also not fun.

Prince Charmles is a stupid name but quite fitting of tubby, ugly (tubbgly?) prince with a lisp*. Note: *Married = Mawwied.

You just don't mess with Jesters. I suspect though, that only applies to Jesters who don't wear the trade mark Jesters' hat. I was actually confused as to why he was called a jester... no j hat = confused me.

Angelo is goo'd looking.

It's not exactly something I learnt but more of a 'let's try not to think about it' kind of situation. Witches and sirens can occasionally 'give you their best puff puff' - the screen then turns to mountains, birds...and hearts surround your character's head with the tagline "you get a big grin on your face and you become absolutely enthralled". What's funny though:

1. A Witch tried to do that to my girl once but my girl laughed triumphantly that she stacked better. Lesbian? It's highly doubtful. Not that there's anyting wrong with that.

2. I'm (and I play the main male character in the game) often not impressed by the puff puff. Gay? Well... Angelo IS goo'd looking, afterall. And there's nothing wrong with that.

On Dancing:

1. I dance a little bit like Carlton Banks. Snap those fingers - Yeah!
2. Yangus dances like he's a fairy. A really fat fairy. And I thoroughly enjoy watching it.
3. Jessica's been wearing the dancer's outfit for hours but she still ain't got no flava'.
4. Angelo dances like the coolness he is.

And when you find a Zombie Mail and its description reads: ill fated suite of armour... despite how alluring the 42+ defence sounds to you - DON'T PUT IT ON. You can't rock it like nobody's buisness. It rocks you. And costs you 750 gold pieces to unrock.

And another thing...

Ralph is not my friend despite what he or everyone else may think.
I hate Ralph.
Goo'day.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons...

is sure to give me high blood pressure or something.

Today was fun, despite high blood pressure inducing torture. Sitting around doing nothing in the company of HOchie 1 is good times, although there was something about work having to be done.

This post is a reminder to publish the best of 2005 or whatever - a song/album list of sorts and whatever else. It probably won't be done but...and that's all I have.

Currently listening to Muse "New Born" from the Absolution Tour dvd with my Banshee (thank you, HOchie 1 for pointing that out...the truth some the times hurts). I love that Banshee...
And here he is. Yes. I said 'he':

In Memory of Kevin Morgan... we never really knew you and now we never will.

HOchie 1... or 2 signing in.

Life has a way of pouncing when you aren't thinking about it and dropping a heavy does of itself on you.

This HOchie was happily sitting in her hairstylist's chair getting a way overdue cut when her favourite stylist broke in with a "you know that guy that those people are talking about?" I really had not been listening to the conversation that was going on behind me since I exist most times in my own conversation but since Stylist brought it up, I felt compelled to feign interest and ventured a timid "what about him?"

Well, the HOchies now know that this guy that we secretly always liked in a platonic way, about whom we always smiled knowingly between us on our visits there, who was slim, very pale and had very blonde hair that fell straight down and covered his neck with the long front brushed very neatly to the side, who smiled shyly and spoke softly, who we wanted to talk to but kind of preferred to love-like from afar and keep his cute human existence a regular factor in our visit to the salon is dead. Actually he was KILLED by a 24-year-old female from Connecticut who chose to go out, chose to drink on the night when she knew she would be driving and ploughed into him without ever stopping as he was crossing the street. The HOchies were shocked into horrified silence.

Needless to say, even though this event happened on December 1, 2005, it just happened for us. Once again, someone's life has been cut short because someone chose to drive drunk and if that person is found guilty of Manslaughter/Murder, all she will get is 7 years in jail. She probably won't serve half that.

I really want to rave on and on about how unfair this whole situation is and I want to say more but they are angry words and I don't want this post to lose itself in anger so I will say:

Goodbye Kevin. I wish we had said hello to you. We really wanted to and now we will never have a chance. I hope you are smiling that smile wherever you are and that you keep brushing your fine, blonde hair to the side. We will think about you and you will live on in the mind of two quasi-strangers as you live on in the hearts of those who love you.

Laters. =(

How The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages & Seasons Made A Liar Out of Me

I believe I said there'd be an update as to how the present situation went down soon after Christmas yet it's the 20th day into the New Year and not a goddamned thing was posted since December 24th...Of LAST year. Meh.
Everyone was happy with what they got, I think. Hochie or 2 has been rockin' the Hot Rod DS and "Animal Crossing" everyday. I only this week rocked one of my new sweaters. Rocked or looked like a clown? Hmmmmm...
Good times have been had with the watching of newly acquired DVDs including "Firefly" and "The Muppet Show - Season One" and still more to watch. Too many DVDs and not enough time but you cannot get anymore quality than "You and I and George" or "I Never Harmed an Onion...". Apparently, Ralph is the best Muppet and I never knew. Also, another thing I've discovered - the Muppet Show is not for children.
But what I've been truly rockin' is that damned Zelda series. For whatever stupid reason, probably the one involving my stupidity, I never got those games when they were out. Four years later I was struggling to find them at a price that was not 100+ dollars a piece. Bottom line, I found them and man, they're hard but ridiculously cool and fun. I'm playing the games linked so Ganon gets to own me at some point...uh, I mean..I will own Ganon (after multiple deaths) at some point.
And thanks to the LofZ, there have been no updates.
Nothing much going on yet so much of it, it's madness.
Work has been busy for Hochie Or 2 leading to nights of no 6.15 train.
My friend S is off to new and exciting things and I wish her the best of luck. 15 months seems like quite the while but I hope and I'm sure it will be, the most awesome frickin' times eva'.
And now to bring the blog mood down -
we found out today this guy we saw once in a while who worked at the hair salon was killed by recklessness & idiocy on the part of a 24 year old drunk driving bitch of a girl. Although The HOchieS never spoke to him, we always thought of him as the cute, quiet, shy guy who came across to us like a complete sweetie. We loved that guy. It's really horrible and it's hard to think about the fact that we'll never see him again... =(

Christmas Eve with the HOchieS

Well, what can I say about December...wait. What do I have to say about November? November was mostly uneventful save the fact good friends came visiting during Thanksgiving and the week following and good times were had during those days.
Also, X is now Dr. X! I would put X's first photo up after receiving the title but...my scanner seems to be on the fritz. And I might be too full of crab and artichoke dip and punch de creme to try to solve problems. Instead I'll describe what it looks like and let's just say...it's a little shady.
Congrats to Dr. X. X has accomplished lots and the HOchieS are proud.

December 2005:

TERRIBLE.

It was a rough month (including our Medium Budgie leaving us to go live in another state with his wife and my kitty boos. I miss my bibbies) and HOchie 1 ranted about things in the previous post so Or 2 will not rant in this. That may be due to the fact that I am too full of red velvet chocolate chip cake and mushroom bread thingies to rant.
However, this being the evening of December 24th and the HOchieS celebrate gift giving...we're trying to make the best of it.
We've lots to be happy about this eve. Our good friends are here with us and more to come tomorrow to partake in the homemade chinese food. Roast Duck anyone? Far Rah Rah Rah Rah, Rah Rah Rah Rah.
Other than that, there are presents under the tree and presents filtering out into the middle of the living room. They're not all for us but meh, lots are. Who am I kidding? Looks like Momma Ho and HOchie 1 made out like bandits. I have already lost the present war. That's okay though because I have upstaged everyone with the present giving. Heh Heh Heh Heh. I'll put the list up tomorrow after everyone has opened their pyos at 5. Momma Ho has to work so X will have to wait to open presents. X isn't thrilled and may still bust open the stuff in the morning while we're asleep. But I'll buss X's ass if that happens.
Speaking of 'meh'...
This year I neglected to get a present for The Cheat. He and I have talked about it and he wants 100 dollars out of every paycheck I receive in 2006 to make up for my lameness. Something tells me The Cheat is going to sell the pyos I get tomorrow regardless of what deal we've made. Biatch.
Ok, X has finally missed my presence and is calling for me. I will end before she discovers what I've been doing.
Will update tomorrow or at least within the next few days.

And too full of shepherd's pie and stewed pork to spell check.

There's X talking about opening up the pyos in the morning again.

Hate

Hochie 1... 0r 2 signing in after a busy month of mundane goings-on.

There are people that I dislike and there are those I don't really get along with because our personalities do not sync. I don't think about them often because that is life. I accept it and I live my life but I know now that there are two people that I really hate in this life. Hate to the point that If I believed then this is the sort of loathing that would condemn my soul to a bad place for all the thoughts that I have thought about them. I don't want to hate people that are concrete beings in my existence, people that I have actually met and who continue to try to impose their evil greedy ways into my life and the life of my family but I do... badly.

I hate that they think that I owe them unending gratitude for every breath that I take in this country. I thanked you and have never disrespected you but I will not kiss your ass. My father has slaved, yes SLAVED, for you for 10 years (and counting) to "repay" any real and imagined debt that you perceive any of my family owes you.

You were overwhelmingly unkind to my family because we filled the role of poor relations. We may not have your money but we are richer than you ever imagined and I know that you know that. You can build as many churches as you think will buy your way into that Heaven before the God that you love to tout but I know that you do it for fame and more money. You know it too. I remember as I am sure you do that when someone commented that you must count your blessings, you said you prefered to count your money. You can fool a lot of people but the people that really know you, really know you.

So employ all the island slaves you want and present oversized cheques to priests for your photographs in newspapers, feed athletes, and keep talking about God but I know how you think, I know things about you and I HATE YOU. You are the worst kind of people and as you get older, your money will not comfort you, you will find as you get older that you cannot trust anyone because no one is really your friend, you will find that not as many people as you think like you and when your body begins to really rot and your face is filled with maggots, all the money that you crave will be for naught because your children never loved you and respected you and no one will really care that you are dead and gone except to find out how much they get in your will. Count your money as blessings on Earth because you will find none anywhere else.

Things That Are Hella...

...Hilarious: Pringles being a common garnish on dim sum

...Jibblies-esque: Crazy people who bump into your bags and invade your personal space while spewing jibberish even though there's more than enough room to move

...Nasty and Shouldn't Exist: Egg Custards of the strawberry & banana variety

...Lifesaving: Turkey cookies after Nasties that Shouldn't Exist

...Lame but Expected: Ramune drinks that explode when opened

...Lame: Chinatown on a Saturday

...Scary: Giant Hair

...Annoying & Idiotic: People in the Temple who touch things they shouldn't and make Beetchie tour guide

...Shady: Jewelry stores in Chinatown

...Awesome: Blue & White Diamonds

...$2,000 @ 70% off: Blue & White Diamonds

...In need of discussion: 2 kids on the train. Same age. 1 smart. 1 not so much.

Goodbye Kitty

I am kitty-sitting. Pumpkin and Jazzie are good little kitties but one of my favourite people recently said to me (from now on we'll refer to him as Clownie) -"You should just eat them..."

It gets better.

Me: If they give me trouble?

Clownie: No, trouble or not, they should just be eaten.

Me: I see...you know I could eat some cat dumplings right about now.

Clownie: There you go. I'm sure Momma HoChie has all types of recipes she could bring up for them...you know, like that Japanese cat. What was it called again? Hello...

Me: Hello Kitty?

Clownie: Hello Kitty. Yes, I'm sure there must be recipes for this 'Hello Kitty' or rather, 'Goodbye Kitty'.

I'm on a quest to create a whole line of "Goodbye Kitty" recipes.

This is how TheHOchies will be rich.
